Origin Story
In the state of New Jersey, my academic and professional career has been in the field of Special Education. I began my career as Special Education High School Teacher and later pursued advance certification as a Learning Disability Teacher/Consultant (LDT/C). This certification prepared me to specialize in the assessment of students experiencing academic difficulties within the general education classroom setting.
In New Jersey, the Child Study Team is comprised of a School Psychologist, School Social Worker, and Learning Disability Teacher/Consultant (LDT/C). Each member serves a distinct role in the evaluation process. The School Psychologist conducts the psychological assessment, the LDT/C performs the educational and learning (academic) assessment, and the School Social Worker gathers developmental and family background information through parent interviews and completes the social assessment report.
LDT-C Testing LLC’s Goal
My goals for LDT-C LLC. Is to make Educational Testing available to parents and schools alike. The primary objectives for LDT-C Testing LLC. is:
- For the Assessment to help identify a students, strength, and needs.
- To identify where a student needs help in developing a skill or a specific development area.
- Testing will show exactly which skills a child is struggling with.
- Evaluation can lead to your child getting needed support to thrive at school (results can determine if a child is eligible to receive special services.
- Results can be used to create an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) providing specific help a child needs to improve.

The earlier a child gets diagnosed, the easier it is to set them up for success in the long run. The WIAT-4 is the first step in assisting parents and administrators in:
- Understand how the student’s brain works.
- Increasing their confidence and overall well-being
- Getting school accommodations like IEPs and classroom supports
- Identifying clear next steps to support your child’s development.
